Terms of trade
Terms of trade
Last updated October 2026. These general terms apply to all quotations and orders. Each written quotation sets out the specific price, delivery term, payment terms and timeline for that order, and prevails where it differs.
1. What we do
Solvanta sources goods from suppliers in Bangladesh and the United Arab Emirates and arranges their export to Australia on the delivery term stated in the quotation (for example FOB, CFR, CIF, FCA or CPT).
2. Importer of record
The buyer is the importer of record in Australia. The buyer is responsible for customs clearance, duty, GST, import processing charges, biosecurity inspection and treatment, any permits or licences, product safety and labelling compliance, and delivery within Australia. We do not offer delivered duty paid (DDP) terms.
3. Lawful goods only
We only source goods that may lawfully be imported into Australia. We may decline or cancel any enquiry or order that involves prohibited or restricted goods, counterfeit or infringing products, goods subject to sanctions, or goods we reasonably believe would not clear Australian customs or biosecurity.
4. Your designs and brands
You confirm that you own or are licensed to use any logo, brand, artwork or design you ask us to reproduce. We keep your designs and product information confidential.
5. Samples and quality
The approved sample is the standard for the order. Natural materials and handmade goods vary in colour, texture and size within normal tolerances. Quality checks before dispatch are made against the approved sample.
6. Import information
Solvanta does not provide customs, tariff, biosecurity, tax, legal or product-compliance advice. Any general information on our website or in our correspondence is not advice. You are responsible for confirming classification, duty rates, permits and compliance with a licensed customs broker or the relevant authority.
7. Risk and title
Risk passes at the point stated in the agreed Incoterm. Title passes when the goods are paid for in full.
8. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
